Danish Companies to Deliver Green Solutions to the United States
The United States and Denmark will strengthen cooperation and create better opportunities for green growth to the benefit of Danish companies in the United States.
Both the United States and Denmark have ambitious goals with respect to the green transition and promoting investment in the green sector.
These objectives are reflected in a new Statement of Understanding between the United States and Denmark that will promote green growth and opportunities for Danish companies in the United States.
“The current geopolitical situation with war in Europe and tensions between the United States and China means that policy concerning business and industry is a matter of security policy. This means that the framework for open markets and global trade has fundamentally changed. That is why it is important that we seek dialogue and collaboration. This Statement of Understanding with the United States means that both countries can contribute to a larger green industry – and that is good news for the climate and for Danish companies and Danish workers alike,” says Minister for Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs Morten Bødskov.
“The challenges that the world confronts today, from security threats to the effects of climate change, can only be addressed if we work together. The United States and Denmark have a longstanding partnership that spans more than 220 years. This Statement of Understanding is a natural extension of our trade and investment relationship and identifies how our two countries will further support the green transition to successfully achieve our ambitious climate goals, while opening investment opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic,” adds U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark Alan Leventhal.
Among other actions, the Statement between the United States and Denmark will strengthen and intensify collaboration in wind energy and increase dialogue between Danish companies and U.S. states to supply and manufacture green technologies more efficiently.
