New York Public Library Director, Paul Holdengräber, explains the ideas behind his celebrated “Live from NYPL” series, where he talks to rock stars, Nobel Prize winners and other celebrities about life, literature and the arts. 

Some interviewers want to fade away, once they have asked their question.  Not me.  I want to interject myself into the conversation.  I want a real exchange of ideas, Holdengräber told students at Copenhagen University’s Faculty Library of the Humanities.
