Demonstration Alert:  U.S. Embassy Copenhagen, Denmark – January 22, 2021

Location:  Copenhagen

Event:  A demonstration and march in protest of health-related restrictions in place in Denmark is scheduled to take place on January 23 beginning at 6:00 p.m.  The demonstration will begin in front of the Forum metro station. The exact march route and the ultimate end point is unknown currently. As such, you should anticipate congestion in the City Center Saturday and plan accordingly.  Several hundred people may attend.  Local police will be present throughout the demonstration and march.

• Exercise caution if in the vicinity.
• Be aware of your surroundings.
• Monitor local media for updates.
• Keep a low profile.
• Notify family and friends of your safety.
